David Quang has been practicing Chinese medicine in Toronto for over 50 years. Even today, he continues to offer weekly consultations — a testament to his lifelong dedication to healing.
Beyond medicine, David has a passion for bel canto singing and a generous heart for charitable causes. He once sang the national anthem at a Canada-Hong Kong New Horizon Lions Club event. Despite limited English, he has diligently learned and performed classic English songs like Exodus and Delilah to help raise funds at Lions Club charity events.
For over a decade, David has actively supported the New Horizon Charity Table Tennis Tournament, participating in many of its competitions.
In 2019, at the Evergreen Singles (65+) event, he won the championship at the age of 85. Now at 91, he continues weekly table tennis training with coach Gary Pantry and recently competed in our VIP Singles tournament, where he proudly earned third place in the 2025 Lions Club competition.
His perseverance and passion are truly inspirational — a shining example for younger generations.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is truly well deserved.
During the Member Meeting, Horizon Excellence Award is presented to Lion Peter Lau In appreciation of his great leadership as Club President 2023-2025.
